4 Steps To Manifesting In Your Business
Over the past year I’ve traveled more than I had in the previous five years combined. Studying yoga in India, surfing in Costa Rica, vagabonding across Europe, and now sailing in the Caribbean to give a brief summary. Traveling has been a huge dream of mine for a long time and it wasn’t until I understood how to manifest that I actually started going places. Today, I’m sharing with you the four step process that I’ve taken to manifesting my year of travel. But don’t worry, this extends past travel, you can use this process for anything you want to manifest.
1. Streamline your desires.
The first step is to figure out what it is that you really want. Maybe you’re like me and have a hundred things on that list. Then the first thing to do is to get clear on what is most important.
For a long time I had been putting out to the universe that I wanted to travel the world and buy a house. I realized that the two things were contradictions to each other. If I got the opportunity to travel extensively, then how could and why would I want to buy a house? I would never be there. If I bought a house, why would I want to turn around and leave? I would want to stay and enjoy the place I just bought. As soon as I decided to stop giving my energy to trying to buy a house, it opened up my first opportunity to travel.
The more specifically you focus, the faster it will come. When your focus is divided, then things happen slowly and you may feel like you’re getting no where.
List out the things you really want for your life.
Do any of them contradict?
Narrow the list down to 1 – 3 things, the smaller the better.
2. Create your vision.
The second step is to create your vision. Now that you’ve narrowed it down to just a few things, start with the one you want the most and paint your perfect picture. What would it look like to fulfill this desire? Be as imaginative as possible. Can you expand your vision and make it bigger?
For traveling, a few things I focused on were sitting on an airplane holding hands with my boyfriend, traveling through Europe on trains, hiking in the Alps, and sitting outside at French cafes.
3. Focus on the feelings.
This is the most important step to manifesting. Take a minute and close your eyes and imagine the details you described above happening. How do you feel? You don’t have to focus on labeling the feelings as anything specific (like joy, happiness, excitement, etc…). Just focus on the physical feeling. To start manifesting your desire it is important to practice these feelings regularly. Pick a time everyday when you can visualize your dream coming true and focus on feeling those feelings. The more your practice this, the easier and faster what you want will come into your life.
4. Start small.
Last, find ways that you can feel those feelings on a regular basis.
The feelings I wanted to feel from traveling were adventure and freedom. I would do things like hike on the weekends, make Pinterest board on traveling, explore new place, try new restaurants that were accessible to me, and take short weekend trips.
What can you do right now to feel the feelings you described in step 3? What can you do on a regular basis? Make these things a priority. Eventually doing the small things will lead to bigger things and eventually to exactly where you want (or better).
Remember, the most import part of manifesting is your emotions or feelings. You get what you are a match to.
A word of warning, if you’re feeling like you could never do or have something, you most likely won’t do or have it. (So stop that now!) If you catch yourself here, then be grateful for where you’re at and the small things that you are doing. Trust that by focusing on what you do want, you will get what you want.
